Vocab!!!!

Camp Harmony Question
Question 6: Sone says the camp "was hopefully called Camp Harmony." Do you think the name is appropriate, or is it ironic? Support your answer with evidence from the text.
" Our family had to split up, for the hall was too crowded for us to sit together." This evidence in the text call Camp Harmony from Nisei Daughter by Monica Sone show us that it was many people in the camp and people have no privacy so have can the Camp be Harmony. I think they try to convince Japanese American people believe the American to go to the camp.

Economy Essay
“Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed.” – Gandhi. Market economy is the best example for this quote. Market economy grants people freedom. People can do whatever they want in market economy. Market economy affects individuals negatively by supporting many ruthless competitions that create greed and suffering.
In Market economy, people become greedier. They want more and more, nothing can satisfy their greed. We can see this in the story “How Much Land does a man need?” by Leo Tolstoy. Market economy let Pahom, the main character, have his land ten times bigger, but he wants more and more until it one hundred times the size of his original land and market economy allows that. Market economy gives people freedom, they can have whatever they want, and that make people become greedy then it lead people into conflicts like stealing and wars against each other to have land.
People want so much money, that they can do whatever they want to get it from other people’s hands. They compete with other people; some compete with their own man, their own country man to get it. In World War II, the US and Japan competed with each other to gain more land. When the US was at war, their citizens were suffering from hunger and being bombed by Japanese. Market economy causes greed that make people compete against each other to gain money, and when they compete many other people suffer.
After they gain so much money but they still want more, at some point, they will begin to suffer. In the story “How Much Land Does a Man Need” Pahom has been offered a run for land from the Bashkir Chief. He have ran so much that at some point, he realized that he had to turn back to own that land. So he ran and he tripped down and died. So after he died, “His servant picked up the spade and dug a grave long enough for him to be in, and buried him in it. Six feet from his head to his heels was all he need.” At the life time, people try to gain as much money as possible to fulfill their greed. But after people die, what do they have? Nothing, only a graved that long enough to fit them in.
Market economy gives people freedom so much that they can make and do whatever they want, to have money as much as they can. Many business people compete against each other in a ruthless competition to gain money. Then it makes people suffer and die from that competition. Market economy is very bad for people to live in it, Mixed economy is probably the best because it controlled by the government and the government protects you. We can solve this problem by take some of the power in Market economy and give it to the government to control it.
